A catchy title, right? “Here’s what I’ve picked up during my last 20 years of my life” would have worked as well, if you know what I mean. But hey, we’re in IT, we are ambitious, hungry for knowledge, eager to learn, over achievers, workaholics, and what not. It’s fun, potentially stressful, hard work, but also very satisfying and rewarding at the same time. At least that’s how I would describe my career so far.

One company I recently visited was Fujitsu where they showed us, and we talked about their cloud and IoT portfolio. Very interesting and exciting stuff to say the least. While the so-called Connected Cow was only one example of what they do when it comes to combining IoT and clout technologies, it’s a special one for sure and it definitely got my attention.
My version of why the pen is mightier than the keyboard!
Average time to read: 7 minutesLittle over two years ago I singed up to WordPress.com, bought my own personal domain basvankaam.com and just started writing. The main thought behind all this was to create some sort of online (personal) knowledge base and to learn about new and existing technologies and products as I progressed, primarily focusing on the Citrix portfolio. Over time I’ve learned that sharing what I know, or have learned, with others is probably one of the main reasons I kept, and keep, doing what I do. It’s fun, educational (in many ways) and very rewarding at the same time. Although at first I never expected it to turn out the way it has done today, something for which I can only be thankful. But don’t worry, that’s not what I wanted to talk about throughout this article.
