MS Community event: Windows Virtual Desktop. Here’s what I will be talking about

Average time to read: 2 minutes

Have you registered already? No? Well, you better hurry up than. They are nearing a 1000 participants and I’m not sure what the limit will be. Go here to do so. While it was planned to be an in-person event, it will now be a virtual event only, due to the COVID_19 pandemic. Have a look at the agenda, Microsoft MVP’s exclusively and some very interesting topics. Let me tell you about mine for a bit.

The title of my presentation is “The Ultimate WVD Partner Cheat Sheet”. To some of you this may not come as a surprise. I’ve put together multiple sheets in the past, including a couple on the topic of WVD.

The 28th will be a bit different though.

WVD partners

Keeping a WVD partner cheat sheet up to date, as I’ve tried in the past isn’t an easy task. In fact, near to impossible comes closer to the truth. However, I’ve come up with a different approach.

The technological partner landscape of WVD is diverse and growing by the week/month. I only have 40 to 45 minutes and there’s a lot to talk about.

Like any other product, technology or new digital workspace concept, there are a few phases you need to go through to make the implementation and adoption of something like WVD a success. Based on the WVD partners today I’d like to have a look at some of the main steps involved to get from A to Z, while highlighting 4 to 5 partners more specifically.

Of course, these steps are open for discussion, but you get the general idea, I hope.

This is what I have in mind.

At the end of the presentation we will have briefly touched all subjects (the above slide will look somewhat different as well). Meant to give you an idea and hopefully help you on your way.

Hopefully, if the demo gods allow, I will try and show you a thing or two as well.

Of course, to some of you all this won’t be new information, however, to many of you it might be. A 100% satisfaction score isn’t guaranteed, like it never is. I’m well aware that I won’t be able to discuss every single WVD partner out there, but I’m sure you guys will understand.

As always, there’s so much to do/talk about and so little time.

I’m looking forward to virtually seeing you in a couple of weeks’ time!
