On September 16th 2020 we officially kicked-off the Nerdio Tech Insider program. Thank you all very much for attending (over two third of all who RSVP’d actually attended!), we think it was a great success! Below you’ll find the slide-deck I used, downloadable in PDF format and in separate image format as well. Unfortunately, the sound quality of the recording wasn’t acceptable, something we will have fixed for upcoming events.

I have some big news to share. As of 01-06-2020 I joined Nerdio in the role of Field CTO for the EMEA region. I am extremely excited and cannot wait to get started. They have an excellent team of highly skilled, motivated and ambitious IT professionals who give it their all every single day, the way I like it best.
Continue ReadingEUC-X becomes EUCdigest, a name change. About to launch!
Yes, we changed our name from EUC-X to EUCdigest. It turned out that EUC-X was already taken (an unfortunate timing issue) and we were legally forced to come up with something else. Luckily we had EUCdigest as a backup, and to be honest, we like it… A LOT! Perhaps better even.

Today I want to give you a heads up on something exciting we (and I’ll get to the who we are part shortly) are currently working on/developing.
Continue ReadingIt’s a wrap! Submissions for (book) Project Byte-Sized are closed
THANK YOU – that’s probably the best, or only way to start this blog. We (= myself and Christiaan Brinkhoff) started the Byte-Sized book project back in January and we never expected this amount of attention and help from the community (of course, we hoped for it).

Pre-announcement – A quick, Twitter based IoT survey coming your way
Average time to read: 2 minutesThroughout the next couple of weeks, we (Douglas Brown and myself) will launch a Twitter based survey consisting of 10 to 12 questions focussing on the Internet of Things, in general. As you might know, Twitter pols can consist out of 4 multiple choice answers, and of course the questions themselves can’t be too long either, making them easy to read and answer. We’ll also include the ‘other’ option in the form of a reply to give a more detailed or open answer.
SURVEY (pre) announcement. The state of public cloud services – the 2016 community edition
Average time to read: 3 minutesEarlier this month I published a post named ’13 reasons that might prevent companies from successfully leveraging public cloud services’. Again, this post wasn’t meant to negatively position the cloud, not at all. I just wanted to point out some possible downsides and highlight a couple of, potentially important factors that need to be taken into consideration when ‘the cloud’ comes into play. With this in mind I thought it might be useful to put together a survey specifically aimed at public cloud computing services – consider this post a warm-up.
